WORK EXPERIENCE
Proper Hospitality
Design Lead: Feb 2017–Present In charge of all e-marketing, such as e-blasts, web banners, and social media posts for Proper Hospitality along with its subsidiary brands of Avalon, Ingleside Inn, and Custom Hotels. Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and managing the production of in-room collateral for Proper hotels as well as food & beverage collateral for San Francisco and Santa Monica Proper Hotels. A successful liaison between the Interior Design Office of Kelly Wearstler and Proper Hospitality. Accountable for the design and maintenance of websites for Proper, Avalon, Ingleside Inn, and Custom Hotels along with all of their business-to-business investor presentations. Additionally, in charge of signage at San Francisco Proper Hotel along with its food and beverage outlets. Finally, responsible for hiring and managing freelance designers and paid interns.  

Los Angeles County Museum of Art, LA
Senior Designer: Feb 2007–Feb 2017 Responsible for: conceptualizing, designing and overseeing the production of exhibition graphics, museum signage, promotional videos, and marketing campaigns for print, street, and web. Further responsible for the design of art catalogs, quarterly journals as well as store products. Finally accountable for mentoring junior designers and overseeing hired freelancers. Additional duties included creating a comprehensive identity system for LACMA in 2012 comprised of print ads, web assets, street banners, museum’s directional signage for elevators and windows, invitations, and campus screens that displayed LACMA’s information in motion.

Senior Lecturer: Sep 2007–Aug 2011 Duties included: the creation of syllabus along with teaching classes, in theory, art direction for advertisers, identity & systems design, typography, and senior seminar.

Anhalt University in Dessau, Germany
Visiting Professor: Sep 2006–Feb 2007 Duties included: the creation of a syllabus along with the teaching of an advanced graphic design class with a focus on a corporate identity.

Desgrippes Gobé, NYC
Freelance Designer: Summer of 2005 Duties included: the creation of an identity for a new sub-brand of American Eagle named Aerie.

Ogilve & Mather (BIG), NYC
Designer at Brand Integration Group (BIG): Oct 2000–May 2003 Duties included: working on brand identities, individual logo designs, packaging, advertising campaigns, point of purchase, corporate guidelines and editorial design. Also assisting internal photo-shoots, working on pitches as well as long term projects and presenting to clients. Clients included: Motorola, Kodak, American Express, Coca-Cola, Tiaa Cref, Jaguar, BP, Dove, Sprite and Maxwell House. (Work for Sprite was honored in 2003 by AIGA)

Sony Music Entertainment, NYC
Junior Art Director: Apr 2000–Oct 2000 Duties included: designing packaging and advertising for artists, point of purchase materials, DVD menus and web-sites as well as assisting in photoshoots.
